Bumper
Statement
There exists today a consumer society preoccupied with self-help culture. We as adults consume phrases and mantras in the hopes of changing our psychology. However long before this trend began we were subjected to sayings - social maxims, as children, to insure that we upheld established rules of behaviour. Mothers were long the distillers of this social wisdom. These adages may have given way to books, quizzes and pamphlets written by "experts", but their words can still reprimand and chastise. This work utilises bumper stickers, so instead of proclaiming that Jesus is coming or your other cars a Porsche you too can spread some home spun self help.
