After he died, I needed to place him somewhere, so I decided he was in the ether around me, or when not
there, in Japan. He had spent time in Japan and would have returned there had he not come home for medical treatment. I have never been to Japan; it’s so different from anywhere I know that I can’t quite imagine it.
